Healthy Pregnancy

Acupuncture is a safe, comfortable treatment for many of the common problems that develop during pregnancy.

Receiving acupuncture during pregnancy is a gift for both the mother and the baby. Most clients who receive Acupuncture through their pregnancies have smooth deliveries because acupuncture harmonizes the mothers and the baby’s energies.

A typical course of treatment is once per week up to the first trimester (12 weeks), then once per month until the delivery. In preparation for labor and delivery during the last month of the pregnancy, the expectant mother should be seen weekly.

Acupuncture is very safe and adds to the comfort of a healthy pregnancy.

Some of these common problems include:

  • Anxiety
  • Breech presentation
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Low-back pain
  • Morning sickness
  • Constipation
  • Anemia
  • Digestive problems
  • Insomnia
  • Acid Reflux
  • Sciatica
  • Gestational Diabetes
  • Painful varicose veins

Acupuncture treatment is recommended once a month during pregnancy to:

  • Ensure optimal health of mother and baby
  • Encourage a smooth delivery
  • Help alleviate the previously listed complaints
  • Promote shorter labor
  • Speed recovery after the baby is born

In preparation for labor and delivery during the last month of the pregnancy, the expectant mother should be seen weekly.
